Giant Bakery-Style Smore Cookie
There are recipes that fill your cookie jar.
And then there are recipes that fill your heart.
I’ve been baking cookies for my family since the early 1980s. Over the years, those cookies became more than just dessert. They became part of birthdays, holiday traditions, late-night conversations around the kitchen table, and countless ordinary afternoons that somehow became unforgettable.
Somewhere along the way, something unexpected happened.
Every cookie earned a name.
Not because I planned it.
But because every recipe became connected to someone I love.
So I decided it was finally time to share those recipes, and the stories behind them, with you.
Welcome to The Cookie Collection, where every cookie has a name, every name has a story, and every recipe has been loved around our family’s table for years.
Today I’d love to introduce you to one of the very first ones.
The Grant Slammer.
Meet the Grant Slammer

The Grant Slammer is named after our son, Grant.
If you’ve ever spent time around him, you know he has always had a big personality, so it only seemed fitting that his cookie would be just as big.
These aren’t your average cookies.
They’re bakery-style cookies that weigh about 5-6 ounces each, with crisp golden edges, soft chewy centers, plenty of chocolate, and gooey toasted marshmallows that remind me of sitting around a campfire with family and friends.
They’re big.
They’re messy.
They’re impossible to eat without smiling.
Just like the best family memories.
Everything You Love about Smores

There is something magical about the combination of graham crackers, chocolate, and toasted marshmallows.
The Grant Slammer takes everything we love about a classic campfire smore and turns it into one giant bakery-style smore cookie.
Every bite is filled with:
- Crushed Honey Maid graham crackers
- Creamy milk chocolate chips
- Chunks of Symphony chocolate
- Gooey toasted mini marshmallows
The marshmallows are my favorite part.
After the smore cookie comes out of the oven, I top it with mini marshmallows and return it to the oven for just a couple of minutes. Then I finish the batch under the broiler until they’re lightly toasted.
That little bit of golden brown gives the smore cookie the authentic campfire flavor that makes everyone reach for another one.
Wendy’s Smore Cookie Best Baking Tips

After baking thousands of cookies over the years, I’ve learned a few things.
Slightly underbake them.
The cookies should still look just a little soft in the middle when you take them out.
As they cool, they’ll finish baking on the cookie sheet, giving you that perfect soft and chewy center.
And here’s my biggest tip.
Don’t skip the broiler.
Those toasted marshmallows are what transform these from really good cookies into unforgettable cookies.
Just keep a close eye on them, because marshmallows toast quickly!

More Than Just Cookies

One of the greatest blessings in my life has been watching my family gather around the kitchen table.
Some of our best conversations have happened over warm cookies and cold glasses of milk.
Some recipes remind us of birthdays.
